2. The dual marked stainless steel feeler gauge provided with the tool has a measurement range from 0.001inch to 0.04inch (0.03mm to 1mm). Made from high-quality flexible 65 manganese steel, it is hardened and polished for long-lasting and accurate usage. This tool is highly recommended for personal or professional use in machinery stores or automobile garages.
3. Some spark plug electrodes may bounce back due to the material of the spark plug, which is normal for certain types of spark plugs. If your desired gap is 0.046in, it is recommended to use a 0.044in feeler gauge size. It is advisable to start with a smaller scale than the target gap, as this automotive spark plug gap tool is suitable for a wide range of applications.
4. Using the tool is simple. Just place your spark plug onto the gap tool, select the desired feeler gauge, and slowly screw the knob until the side electrode compresses to the desired gap thickness. Please note that this tool is designed to close a gap and will not open one.
